Funeral Services for Barbara Joyce Ferguson are on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie.
Mrs. Ferguson, 86 years old, died at Volunteer Hospital, Martin on Thursday, January 2, 2025. She retired from Super Drugs McKenzie and is a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She was born in Goodlettsville, TN on November 19, 1938, to John Thomas Kemper Sr. and Isabelle Lassiter Kemper.
She is survived by two sons David Ferguson (Melinda) and Mike Ferguson (Lori) all of McKenzie, a brother John T. Kemper Jr “Bud” of Lexington, KY, three grandchildren Andi Harrington (Travis), Heather Robertson (Frank) and Amanda Ninness (Alan) and five great-grandchildren Callie, Case, Gracie, Alicyn and Aubry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Franklin D. Ferguson, and brother Bill Kemper.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be made to St. Jude’s or to her church Fairview Baptist Church.
