Barbara A. Filion, 87, of Plattsburgh, New York passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025 at Meadowbrook Healthcare & Nursing Facility. She was born on March 31, 1938 in Plattsburgh, daughter of the late Maude (Fifield) and Leo Sorel, Sr. She was also predeceased by one brother Leo Sorel, Jr. and a sister Marilyn Hoy. She is survived by her two brothers Robert Sorel and Carol Caron Sorel, Richard Sorel and his significant other Joanne Fessette, and several nieces and nephews.
Barb loved her fur babies. She took care of them no matter if they were stray or her own, and she would sit there and talk to them all day. Barb retired from KeyBank as a teller for many years which made her very well-known. She also worked at New York telephone for about 3 years.
She will be greatly missed by all.
