Barbara Foraker Obituary
She was born July 30, 1942 in Pleasant City and was the daughter of the late Mike and Mary (Kovalchik) Mihalik.
Barbara retired from the former Cambridge State Hospital as an LPN after 30 years of service. She was a member of the St. Benedict Catholic Church, a 1960 graduate of St. Benedict High School and later, Marietta Memorial Nursing Training. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Foraker, whom she married August 3, 1963 and passed away February 19, 2003.
Barbara is survived by one son, Kevin (Natalie) Foraker of Concord, North Carolina; two daughters, Colleen (Dannie) Bates of Byesville and Michelle (Scott) Roberts of Cambridge; five grandchildren, Misty Dawn Downerd (Justin Gross), Michael Lloyd, Nettie (Phillip) Bowman, Nikkie Foraker, and Jenna Roberts; four great-grandchildren, Kilee Downerd, Jenna Downerd, Abbie Grace Bowman, and Connor James Bowman; one great-great-grandchild, Kale Houston Clark; and in-laws, Bonnie Blakenhorn and Hootie Foraker.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday (July 18, 2023) from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, where a Mass of Christian burial will follow at 12 p.m. with Father Nicholas Ginnetti officiating.
Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery.
