Barbara A. Fountaine

Barbara A. (Saia) Fountaine of Dennis, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3rd at Benchmark Plymouth Crossing in Plymouth, Ma. She was married to her late husband Vincent Fountaine Jr. of 54 years before his passing in 2018.

Born in Boston on July 21, 1944, daughter of Salvator Saia and Mary Saia and loving sister of Janet Taylor of Bellingham, MA. Graduated from St. Clare High School in Roslindale, MA, Barbara and Vincent raised their five children in Brockton and East Longmeadow before settling in their forever home in Cape Cod.

Barbara enjoyed the simple pleasures in life including playing card games, knitting, word searches, cake decorating, and the occasional scoop of mocha chip ice cream. An avid watcher of the local news and weather along with being a frequent shopper of QVC, Barbara's true passion was spending time with her family and friends.

Barbara is survived by her children Patricia Snyder and her husband Richard of St. Albans, VT, Vincent Mark Fountaine III and his wife Kim Fountaine of Scituate, Michael Fountaine and his wife Annette Fountaine of Carver, Robert Fountaine and his wife Jill Fountaine of McMurray, PA, Timothy Fountaine and his wife Victoria Fountaine of Eastham. She is survived by her niece and nephew and loved unconditionally by her ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours are at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 619 State Road, Plymouth (Manomet Location) on Wednesday, October 8 from 9-11:00am followed by a memorial service at the same location at 11:15am. Burial will follow at 1:15pm at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts.
