Barbara L. Francisco

Mrs. Barbara L. Francisco, 95, formerly of Parry Blvd., Tribes Hill, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025.

Barbara was born on June 16, 1930 the daughter of the late George and Lucille Pifer Brown in Erie, PA. In 1948 the family relocated to Amsterdam, where she attended local schools.

On June 18, 1950 she was united in marriage to Robert G. Francisco Sr. That union was blessed with 61 years of marriage until his passing on June 15, 2011. She was also predeceased by all of her siblings, Jack, James and Jane.

Barbara was a homemaker and raised her children and grandchildren. She also worked as a nurse's aide for the former Amsterdam Memorial Hospital for a time. Barb loved to play BINGO and go shopping. She took meticulous care of her home and her floral gardens were a testament to her patience and a reflection of her inner grace.

Barb's talents extended beyond her green thumb. She was a master of the arts of knitting, crocheting, and quilting, creating countless blankets and quilts that she lovingly shared with friends, family, and those in need. Each stitch was a testament to her thoughtfulness and a warm embrace to those who received her handcrafted gifts.

She was a member of the former Tribes Hill Presbyterian Church. Barb was also a member of the Sir William Johnson Seniors and the Tribes Hill Seniors for many years.

Survivors include her children, twins, Robert G. Francisco Jr. (Nancy Rogers) and Bonnie Wallace, Robin (Alfred) Simeone, Dawn Dziedzic and Karen (Robert) Corley; eleven grandchildren, Tina Goldy, Charles (AnnMarie) Goldy, Alfred Simeone, Eric Simeone, Jessica (Chris) Hroncich, Tiffany Sampson, Ashleigh (Ken) Newkirk, Sarah (Kevin) Clark, Erica Wallace, Jason (Michelle) Wallace and Kelly (Pete) Gazzillo; eighteen great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 1p.m. at the Rose & Hughes Funeral Home, 200 Church Street, Amsterdam, NY with the Rev. Dr. Bonnie Orth presiding. Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill, NY.

The family will receive family and friends prior to the service on Thursday, beginning at 11a.m. at the funeral home.
