Barbara J Giovanini

Barbara Giovanini (89) of Clinton, passed away April 18, 2023, at 9:10 AM at Majestic Health Care in Terre Haute. Born, November 25, 1933 in Racine Wisconsin to Fred and Margaret Steadman Donie. During her working she worked at DuPont Chemical Plant in Newport, and retired from Co-Op Grocery Store in Clinton. She was also a waitress on Friday night at the former V.F.W. fish fry. Her memberships included Sacred heart Church, and former member of V.F.W. Auxiliary and Cross the Track Bowling League. She graduated from Montezuma High School in 1952. She married Charles "Chuck" Giovanini, January 18, 1955.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Giovanini (May 3, 2013), an infant daughter; Catherine Giovanini and two brothers: Ronnie and John.
Survivors include her son; Chuck Giovanini of Clinton, one stepdaughter; Nancy Giovanini Smith and her husband Brian of Clinton. One step grandson; Chris Fossi (Jenny) of Terre Haute, two step granddaughters; Mandy Garzolini (Justin) of Terre Haute, and Jenny Usleman (Chris) of Clinton and nine step grandchildren. Also, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Giovanini Funeral Home in Clinton, Friday, April 21, 2023 from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM with Fr. Joby Puthussery officiating. The burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to KidKare or Clinton Backpack program with envelopes available at the funeral home.
