Barbara H Goodall

Barbara H. Goodall passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 10, 2025 at the age of 85.

Born in Minot, ND and a graduate of the University of North Dakota, Barbara moved to the East Coast in her 20s where she worked as a dietician. She met her husband C. Martin "Marty" Goodall on a blind date and the two recently celebrated their 58th anniversary.

In addition to her long career as a dietician, Barbara was also a volunteer EMT for decades in her adopted hometown of Shrewsbury, NJ. She earned a master's degree in nutrition in her 50s and became a specialist in Diabetes care, working for many years at Riverview Hospital in Red Bank, NJ.

Barbara had strong faith in God and was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Red Bank, NJ for more than 40 years before she and Marty retired to the Moss Creek community in Hilton Head Island in 2007 where they joined St. Andrew's United Methodist Church. Barbara and Marty formed many lifelong friendships that they treasured in both Shrewsbury and Hilton Head.

Barbara was a social butterfly known for her kind and generous spirit, fierce advocacy for family and friends, baking and gardening. A gifted conversationalist, she could walk into a party and know everyone's life story within 30 minutes. Barbara is survived by her husband Marty, daughter Michelle Faulkner and son-in-law Michael Sabatini, son Peter Goodall and daughter-in-law Sarah, and four loving grandchildren.
