I would be remiss if I didn't mention the most wonderful service Saturday February 8 at Mayflower Congregational Church. My wife and I both felt Barbara's presence by the stories and memories shared by her family. The red cowboy boots, martini glass and two dolls certainly told a story as well. Our condolences to her family. As someone here mentioned, Barbara would have loved it.

Our back yard neighbor and a great supporter of the Grand Rapids Symphony. Many a time spent listening to her driveway concerts featuring Symphony members and special guest musicians. The music filled the air throughout the nearby streets and homes. And not to be outdone by the sweetest sounds were the sweet treats she offered in her home when the music stopped. Have to admit, my favorite part! She will be missed by many here in Grand Rapids and everyone that knew her and were touched by her generosity.

George and Barbara were clients of mine for many years as I happily helped care for their trees. I had several conversations over coffee at their kitchen table enjoying conversation about their younger years! Fantastic couple for sure and Barbara will be missed.

My memories of Barbara are through golf and art. She and I both had size 10 golf shoes and when some were missing we would check with another to see if they were tucked in her locker or mine. We also shared a love for Mathias Alten our regional painter. We shared many conversations talking about his art and the art of others. She truly was a special lady. Thank you for sharing her.

My deepest sympathy in the passing of your dear mother. I babysat for you( and your collie, Johnny)way back in GR and loved your sweet mom. It was the best babysitting job ever. I always enjoyed you, your parents and Johnny. Wishing all good memories of a life well lived.
