Barbara M. Hafer

Barbara M. (Bowman) Hafer, 92, of Wyomissing, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Country Meadows. She was the wife of the late Harold F. Hafer, who passed away in 1998. Born in West Reading, Barbara was the daughter of the late James and Francis (Trickle) Bowman. She graduated from Reading High School in 1951. She went on to work as a clerical assistant for Fortna, Inc. for 62 years until her retirement in 2012. Barbara was a member of Schwarzwald Lutheran Church.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Susan M. Lee of Reading, her son Paul J. Hafer, husband of Wayne, of Florida, her two granddaughters Samantha Crossley, wife of Seth, and Jaclyn, and her great-granddaughter Olive.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of Barbara's family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, donors.diabetes.org.
