Barbara Annette Hanson 9/21/48 to 2/16/25 (76 years old)
Barbara was born in Park Rapids at St. Joseph's Hospital to Guy and Isabelle Gulsvig on September 21, 1948. She spent most of her life in Nevis, except for 6 yrs in Minneapolis, which she did not like.
Barbara held various roles: IDS Finance and Commerce, North States Industries, CNA, manager of three apartment buildings, piano teacher, organist, grave digger, server, bartender, cook at the Nevis Senior Center, apartment and house cleaner.
She was a parent to Holly (Chris) Sutton of Alexandria, MN, Heidi Hanson of Nevis, MN, Douglas (Carol) Hanson of Sauk Rapids, MN.
Her greatest blessings called her "Grandma": Emma and Nicholas Hanson of Sauk Rapids, MN.
Barbara leaves behind two brothers, Jerry Gulsvig and David Gulsvig, and one sister, Janice Dagen, and many other loved ones.
Barbara was preceded in death by many beloved people.

Saturday, March 8, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall at First Lutheran Church in Akeley, MN. Pastor Maribeth McGoven will lead us in a time of prayer and sharing memories from 2:00 to 2:30 pm. You are welcome to stop by anytime throughout the afternoon.
