Barbara Ann (Roginski) Hart, born May 5, 1939, passed away on October 25, 2025 at the age of 86, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Hart Sr. Barbara was born and raised in Portsmouth, NH, daughter of Joseph and Josephine Roginski. She met her husband (Bob) while he was stationed as a Marine at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He was a guard, and she was a waitress at a local restaurant.
Barbara was the proud mother of five boys: Robert Hart, Jr., and his wife Geri of North Hampton, NH; Stephen J. Hart and his wife Susan of Barrington NH; Thomas P. Hart and his wife Meghan of Portsmouth, NH; Michael B. Hart and his wife Julie of Panama City Beach, FL; Kevin Hart and his wife Tammy of Barrington, NH; Her 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She was affectionately known as Nana to them.
Barbara attended Saint Patrick's School and Portsmouth High School, class of 1957. She was first and foremost a mother, while also working at the Immaculate Conception Church Rectory in Portsmouth, and later at Saint Mary's Rectory in Rochester.
Barbara valued time spent with her family and good friends, Julie and Liz. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She is now peacefully with Dad.
A special thank you to all of the staff at Dover Center for Health and Rehabilitation and Constellation Health Services who lovingly cared for Barbara.
There will be no services for Barbara, but a celebration of life with family will be held at a later date. Donations in Barbara's honor may be made to the Dover Center for Health & Rehabilitation, 307 Plaza Drive, Dover, NH 03820, Please make checks payable to Dover Center for Health & Rehabilitation: In Payment Memo, please put "Employee Fund In Memory of Barbara Hart."
