Barbara Ann Jennette Hatcher of Elizabethtown, NC entered into the eternal rest of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 15, 2025. Mrs. Hatcher was born in Johnston County to Royal and Linnie Jennette. She retired from the Bladen County public school system where she served for 21 years.
Mrs. Hatcher was a faithful member of Elizabethtown Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, member of senior adult choir, Women’s Missionary Union, and a member of Miriam Clark Sunday School Class.
She was predeceased by her husband Everett Hatcher, parents, Royal and Linnie Jennette of Johnston County, and a sister Marjorie Martin of Rocky Mount.
Mrs. Hatcher is survived by her sister Nelle Coor of Pine Level, NC, and son, Tommy Hatcher (Emily) of Bay Tree Lakes; daughter, Annette McRoberts (Sammy) and son, Joseph Hatcher (April) all of Elizabethtown, NC. She is also survived by “7” grandchildren and “11” great grandchildren. Grandchildren: Bryan Mazur (Mary Katheryn), Ashley Bridgers (Chris), Natalie H. Rochester (Daniel), Hilarie H. Beam (Paul), Cameron Hatcher (Danielle), Weston Hatcher and Jayce Hatcher.
Great Grandchildren: Caroline Mazur, Chloe Mazur, Huntley Bridgers, Case Bridgers, Caroline Rochester, Carleigh Rochester, Lainey Beam, Avery Beam, Sydney Beam, Hailey Hatcher and Riley Hatcher.
The family will receive friends from 12:30- 1:30 pm in the church fellowship hall of Elizabethtown Baptist Church on Saturday, March 22, 2025, with a funeral service beginning at 2 pm in the church sanctuary. The Reverend Tommy Hatcher and Reverend Brenda Flowers will be officiating the services.
