Hatcher, Martha Allison (nee Hatcher). Age 97 of Minnetonka, MN, died peacefully on February 2, 2026.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Graham Stuart Hatcher of Folkstone, England; her father, Raymond Archer Hatcher, her mother, Bettie Maude Hatcher (nee Bottoms); her sister, Ann Elizabeth Richardson (nee Hatcher); and her brother-in-law, George S. Richardson, Jr.

Martha is survived by her three children: Allison Hatcher (partner, Becky), Collin Hatcher (wife, Jenn), and Brian Hatcher (wife, Alison); her five grandchildren, Emily Hatcher Mattson (husband, Robert), William Hatcher, Carrie (Slow) Hatcher, Gerrit Hatcher, and Elizabeth (Liz) Hatcher; her two great-grandchildren, Robert Jackson (R.J.) Mattson and Aubrey Mattson; and her nephew, George Selden Richardson III (wife, Karri) and grand-niece, Lelia Richardson.

Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Martha earned a degree in education. She and Graham lived in several states before settling in Minnesota. Martha enjoyed the changing seasons and for many years engaged actively in cycling and skiing. She was employed in the Minnetonka and Wayzata public school systems, first as a substitute teacher and later as a beloved teacher of Spanish at the junior high level. Martha was a dedicated parishioner of St. David's Episcopal Church and volunteered energetically in diocesan activities. Martha loved music, cooking, antiques, and the company of her many friends.

Martha will be laid to rest at Groveland Cemetery, in Minnetonka, MN. A Celebration of her life will be held at St. David's Episcopal Church in Minnetonka in July, 2026.
