Barbara Disponette Hippe, 84, widow of Raymond Max Hippe, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was born November 13, 1939, in Woodford County to the late Raymond and Hattie Shelton Disponette. Barbara was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lea Ann Jackson, Lawrenceburg, Pam Brown, Versailles, Penny Neal, Versailles, Carolyn McDonald, Versailles, sisters, Roberta Baker, Versailles, Nellie Stratton, Lawrenceburg, grandchildren, Brian Wooldridge, Michael Curry, Lannas Tedrow, Missy Brown, Holly Enfinger, Mark McDonald, Jennifer Crowe, Cindy McDonald, Tiffany Evans, Travis Brown, Brent Neal, Blake Hippe, and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by sons, Charles Michael Curry, Raymond Denton Hippe, daughter, Terri Hippe, sisters, Margie Robinson, Louise Corman, brothers, Raymond Howard Disponette, and William Franklin Disponette.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, July 12, 2024, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rose Crest Cemetery, where pallbearers will be Brian Wooldridge, Michael Curry, Spencer Wooldridge, Carson Wooldridge, Bryson Shuttleworth, and Ronald Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Wise, Jackie Brown, Wayne Abrams, Lannas Tedrow, and Wayne Baker.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 110 Conn Terrace Lexington, Kentucky 40508. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and leave messages of condolence here on Barbara's tribute wall.
