Barbara Kay Howell, age 72 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday evening, January 13, 2025, at J. W. Ruby WVU Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on August 9, 1952, in Fisher, WV, she was a daughter of the late Marvin Randolph Whiteman and Ella Mae Myers Whiteman. Brothers Lawrence, Wallace, Marvin and Dwane also preceded her in death.
Barbara was mostly a stay-at-home mother but enjoyed the time visiting her grandchildren. She attended church faithfully, a member of the Moorefield Church of God.
Surviving is her husband of 54 years, David Lee Howell, Sr.; sons, David L. (Stacey) Howell, II, Phillip M. (Heather) Howell, Richard A. (Jeni) Howell, Sr. and a nephew like a son, Brian E. (Kaylin) Jenkins all of Moorefield, WV; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon Whiteman & Patricia Shilling of Moorefield, WV; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Donnie Shinholser officiant. Interment will follow in the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM Saturday until the time of serves.
