Barbara Morris Jeffers

Barbara Jeffers, 77, of Seale, AL, entered her heavenly home on Sunday, October 19, 2025 while at Piedmont Columbus Midtown, Columbus, GA.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 -1:45 PM (EST) on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL followed by a Graveside Service at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL 36867, at 2:00 PM (EST) with Mr. David Morris officiating.

Barbara Jeffers who lived life on her terms was born, on September 18, 1948, to the late Fred Morris and Betty Adair Morris. Barbara was a strong independent woman before it was trendy to be so. She earned her master’s degree and proudly served as a Russell County School Counselor where she touched the lives of countless students and families with her guidance and compassion.

Barbara’s happiest moments were those spent surrounded by her loved ones. She treasured every opportunity to be with her children and grandchildren, whether gathered around the table playing Mexican train, cards, or simply being together. She didn’t know how to love someone a little, if she loved you she loved you fiercely. To hear her talk of her grandchildren you would believe they were, academic prodigies, Oscar award winners and Nobel prize candidates. Barbara loved fishing with her late partner, Bill, on Lake Martin, where the two shared countless days on the water. She also cherished her time at the beach, especially at her condo in Panama City, where she made lasting memories with family and friends. Dinners at Captain Anderson’s were a favorite tradition and crab legs were always her go-to meal. Barbara also enjoyed traveling and exploring new places.

Barbara will be remembered for her warm heart, feisty nature and the way she made everyone feel valued and loved. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 25 years, Larry Jeffers; and her partner of 20 years, Bill Faulk.

She is survived by her sons, Jeff Jeffers (Jessica) of Enterprise, AL; Matt Jeffers (Tammy) of Enterprise, AL; and Dean Jeffers of Enterprise, AL; sister, Oodie Baine of Dothan, AL; brother, Newt Morris of Dothan, AL; grandchildren, Kinsley Lively, Mason Jeffers (Regan), Lily Jeffers, Harrison Jeffers, Noah Jeffers, and Mary Grace Jeffers; and her very special and loyal companion, her Maltese, Bo.
