Barbara Jessee Obituary
Barbara was born on August 24, 1938 in Lee County, Virginia to the late Ruben and Hazel Alsup Crusenberry. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, caregiver, and friend.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, Leo Robbins and second husband, Christopher Johnson "CJ' Jessee; grandson, Brandon Mac Lawson; brothers, Roscoe, Willy, Lloyd, Jerry, Paul, Jimmy, and Hobert Crusenberry; sisters, Doris Haynes and Alice Robbins; and son in-law, Burlin Lawson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Mike Robbins and wife Janice; daughter, Ginger Lawson; grandchildren, Kristy Bishop, Misty Thomas, Ashley Robbins, and Leo Lawson; great grandchildren, Keaston, Taylor, Grady, Jayden, Uriah, and Kayn; brothers, Richard and Dallas Crusenberry; sister, Pauline Rogers; along with special caregivers, Madalyn Myers and Holly Russell.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating.
A committal service will held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Pennington Gap Funeral Home at 1:30 PM to go in procession.
