Barbara Anna "Grandma Mouse" Johnson

Barbara Anna Johnson "Grandma Mouse" age 88 of Maryville Tennessee passed away in the evening hours of January 9th, 2026. Originally born in Chicago and later from Michigan, Barbara and her late husband Isaac moved to Tennessee in the late 1970's. Barbara earned her career as a talented baker/decorator, and caterer. Barbara had many years making Wednesday night dinners for churches around Maryville such as First United Methodist Church, Broadway United Methodist Church, New providence Presbyterian Church, and many more. Her last residency was cooking for Eagle Rock Camp. She cooked meals for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Boys and Girls Scouts of America. Her mission in life was to feed people, and she accomplished just that. Barbara was a member of First united Methodist Church for many years before she made her church home Broadway First United Methodist. She has received many awards and certificates for all her contributions to this community. Her recipes will live on in the community for many years to come. Barbara was met at the gates of heaven by her Husband Isaac Johnson, Daughters Rhonda McGinnis and Sandra Dorbin. Her oldest grandson John Pavey, daughter in law Alice Johnson, and best friend Esther. She is survived by her two sons, Paris and Michael Johnson, and daughter, Pearl Johnson-Eakins. Grandchildren, David Pavey, Abigial Buttle, Amy Carmen, Kassondra Johnson, Chaunce Johnson, Zachary Eakins, Isaac Eakins, Olivia Johnson, Elliott Johnson, and many great children, and great-great grandchildren.
