Barbara Kahl Obituary
Barbara Lynn Kahl "Babs", 74, passed away after a battle with Alzheimers Disease on November 6, 2025. She was born May 6, 1951 in Cleveland, the daughter of Archie and Evelyn Hood. Barbara will always be remembered as an incredibly kind and helpful person with a great sense of humor. She was an advocate for those around her. Barbara was an "Old Hippie" at heart. She loved to travel and always appreciated all wildlife and spending time in nature. In the spirit of her Irish heritage, she never missed any local Irish festival.
Barbara is preceded in death by her step mother Julie Hood and her father Archie Hood; as well as her adopted mother Evelyn Thoms and step father Erv Thoms. She is survived by her loving daughter Megan Kahl, her granddaughter Molly Mercado; and her circle of dear friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 East Market Street), where a brief prayer service will conclude the evening at 8:00 PM. Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
