Graveside services for Barbara Kidd, 75, of Brownsboro, are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Rock Hill Cemetery with Bro. Danny Bristow officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kidd passed away on July 27, 2025, in Tyler.
Barbara Nell (Smith) Kidd was born on January 16, 1950, in Athens, Texas, the daughter of Willie Walter Smith and Irene Ludy (Bland) Smith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Smith; her birth mother, Irene (Bland) Smith; her mother, Irene (Simmons) Smith; two grandsons, Cody Strickland and William Rozell; and her brothers, Glenn Earl Smith, Charlie Floyd Smith, W.A. Smith, Billy Jack Smith, and Harold Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Elton Kidd, Sr.; her sons, Lloyd Elton Kidd, Jr. and Eldon Holman Kidd; her daughters, Shelly Strickland, Angela Gentry of Troup, and Carlette Kidd; her sisters, Carol McLean, Lori Berry, Peggy Garcia, Linda Hughes, Marci Pitman, and Nora Smith; and her grandchildren, Jerry Rozell, Chris Rozell, Josh Peavey, Matt Peavey, Jesse Kidd, Crystal Stickland, Amber Strickland Wright, Alexandra Meyer, and Krista Rutherford; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Eldon Holman Kidd, Thomas Pinkerton, Danny Gentry, Chris Rozell, Nubbin Speer, Nathan Rutherford, Robert Stevens, and Jason McLean.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
