Barbara Blanche Kimmel (Resseguie), loving and dedicated Mother, passed peacefully on December 28 in the company of her sons John and Charles.
Barbara was born on May 14, 1932, in Crystal, Michigan to Daniel and Tressie Resseguie. She was the eighth of nine children, (Daniel, William, Dorothy, Olive, Ruth, Dona, Jessie, and Frances). She accepted Christ as her Savior in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1951 at the tender age of 19. She was a member of Faith Baptist church in Newark California for many years, always lending a helping hand and singing in the choir. After moving to Cabot, Arkansas she became a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Barbara was active in her Sunday school class, helped in the Kindergarten Sunday school class, and helped in the Awana program. She lived her life as a Christian, always helping, teaching forgiveness, keeping her faith.
She is survived by her children, Rachael McCalpin (Preston), Helen McClain, John Kimmel (Billie), Charlie Kimmel (Betsy); grandchildren, Robert Scodova, Paul Scodova, Anthony McCalpin (Lisa), Katie Scodova (Yarek Grushetskyi), April Weersing (Todd), Laura Richardson (Matt), Laura Dunn, Noah Kimmel, Samantha Lary-Kimmel (Matt Worthen), Brianna Lary Kimmel (Dan Bracy); great grandchildren, Alexandra Graham (Dakoda), Rebecca Earnest, Gabriel McCalpin, Braeden McCalpin, Micah McCalpin, Gretchen Richardson; and great-great grandson, Remington Graham.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at River Road Victory Fellowship in Redfield with a memorial service following at 11:00 AM.
