Barbara Lynne Kleinbach

Barbara Lynne Kleinbach, 73, of Forest, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 5, 2025. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and especially grandmother.

Born in Rochester, NY on November 24, 1952, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy George Peeler and Arlene Schauman Peeler.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Charles S. Kleinbach; two sons, Timothy Lisk (Amy), Thomas Lisk (Angie); two daughters, Arlene Rettew (Chad), Amy Harmon (Jon); four grandchildren, Cameron, Abigail, Alison, Ava, and her brother, Larry Peeler (Sue).

Barbara met Charlie while working for Xerox Corporation in Rochester, NY. Their 42 years of marriage brought them to New York State, Southern California, Pennsylvania and finally settling in Forest, Virginia.

Barbara was a very active and dedicated member of Timberlake Church where she was in charge of the prayer and hospital list. She was also a member of the hospitality team. Above all, her family, especially her grandchildren were her life and brought her so much joy. She was affectionately known as "Grammy.'

A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Timberlake Church by Pastor Brad McMullen. The family will receive friends after the service in the Family Life Center.

Barbara's personality was as sparkly as her nail polish. She loved to laugh and her laugh was contagious. Barbara loved the color red, and adored all things Christmas. The family invites attendees to wear red and/or Christmas attire. She also had a hobby making earrings and graciously gave them as gifts to many. Please wear the earrings proudly to honor her.
