Barbara H. Kniss, 87, of Lake Ariel, died Monday June 23rd at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart. She is survived by her husband Richard Kniss; the couple would have celebrated their 64th anniversary on July 15th.
Born in Bethlehem, daughter of the late Joseph and Grace Hankinson Kendzierski, she was a member of St. Mary's Church, Waymart, where she spent many hours volunteering. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an executive secretary by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, now Novartis Pharmaceuticals.
Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Bruce and Robert Kendzierski.
The funeral will be Friday June 27th, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Mary's Church, Waymart. Entombment will follow at Our Mother of Sorrows Mausoleum, Finch Hill. Friends may call Friday morning at the church from 10 am to mass time. Arrangements by the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main Street, Forest City.
