Barbara J. Kuronya, 96, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, in Levittown, Pennsylvania.
She was born on December 31, 1929, in Jamestown, New York to the late William and Effie Vogler. Affectionately known as Bobbie, she was the youngest of four siblings and grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and the strong values that would guide her throughout her life.
While working as a telephone operator, she met the love of her life, the late Charles J. Kuronya Sr. It was love at first sight and they married three months later. Barbara and Charles were devoted to each other, spending more than 60 happy years going on road trips, gardening and completing home improvement projects, and toasting each other with the occasional Manhattan!
For more than two decades, Barbara dedicated her career to being a medical records supervisor at Hunterdon Medical Center, where her commitment to excellence and attention to detail made a lasting impression on her colleagues. However, it was not just her professional accomplishments that defined her; it was her vibrant personality and the love she shared with family and friends that truly illuminated her life.
A resident of Coopersburg, PA for 20 years before moving to Langhorne, PA 11 years ago, Barbara was known for her social nature, making new friends wherever she went. She loved going out to lunch and playing cards with the ladies and spending time with her son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandson. Her warmth and kindness made her a beloved figure in her community, and her lively spirit ensured that every gathering was infused with joy and laughter.
She is survived by her son, Charles J. Kuronya, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Barbara A. Kuronya. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren – Cindy Palmentieri and Allison (Carey) Phipps – as well as her great-grandson, Arlo Phipps. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, all of whom will remember her for the warmth and love she showered upon them.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Kuronya, Sr., her daughter, Jill Palmentieri, granddaughter Cheryl Palmentieri, as well as her parents and siblings.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services, 41 W. Trenton Ave. in Morrisville, PA. A viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on March 5, 2026, followed by a memorial service starting at 11:30 a.m.
Barbara J. Kuronya will be remembered for her kindness and the love and joy she brought into the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit will remain in the hearts of her family and friends, a testament to a life well-lived.
