Elva M. Edwards

Elva M. Edwards, died peacefully on February 28, 2026 at Southampton Estates. She was 84 years old

Elva was predeceased by her longtime partner, Kristine Costerisan, who passed in 2013.

Born in Philadelphia to The late George D. Edwards and Dorothy Stewart Edwards, Elva was a member of the Neshaminy High school Class of 1959 where she was inducted into the All Sports Hall of Fame for excelling in three sports. She went on to receive her bachelors degree from The College of New Jersey. Elva spent her entire career at Woods School where she became Director of Human Services.

Elva was a kind and compassionate person and 'collected' many friends through the years. She loved sports, camping, and spent most of her free time enjoying the beauty of Mother Nature. She and Kris traveled extensively through the Caribbean, Central America and the Western United States. She spent much of their summers enjoying their cabin in the Poconos.

She will be missed tremendously by her sister Dorothy and brother in-law Tony; sister in-law Sallie Edwards, as well as her nieces: Sherie Edwards, Lori Smith and her husband Mike and nephew George Edwards and his wife Amy; and seven grand nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her dear friends of many years, Pam and Norman Worrell. She is predeceased by her brother, George D. Edwards III.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown Richboro Rd, Richboro, PA 18954 (at Holland Road), from 10:45am until the Prayer Service at 11:30am. Interment immediately to follow in Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place in Memphis, TN 38105.
