TP White & Sons Funeral HomeIn Loving Memory of Barbara "Crazy Barb" Laughlin
Barbara A. Laughlin, 87 of Cincinnati, went home to heaven on October 28, 2025. She was born on August 7, 1938 in New Richmond, OH, daughter of the late Henry and Agnes Laughlin.
She was the dear sister of the late Marjorie J. Corwin and cherished aunt of Malinda Hawkins, Melanie Corwin and Scott Corwin.
To her family, she was affectionately known as "Crazy Barb" - a title she wore proudly and fully earned with her wicked sense of humor and boundless ability to make people laugh. Barb's greatest joy in life was bringing laughter and light to those around her.
Even during the last few difficult weeks - in the hospital, hospice, and the nursing home - her humor never dimmed. She was cracking jokes, fist-bumping nurses, and keeping spirits high right up until the end. In true Barb fashion, she made sure every staff member felt special, secretly telling each one that they were her favorite. The result? A steady flow of vanilla ice cream and orange sherbet smuggled to her at all hours - her own sweet little rebellion.
Barb faced her final days with honesty, grace, and that unmistakable twinkle in her eye. She told everyone who would listen that she was "done with this world" and ready to go home to Jesus in paradise - and she wasn't shy about scolding her body for not cooperating fast enough. Her faith was as strong as her humor, and both carried her through to the end.
A celebration of Barb's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 1950 Nagel Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45255.
Barb's heart was as big as her laugh, and she adored animals - especially her beloved cat, Buttons, and her loyal dog, Jackson, who brought her endless joy and companionship. In her honor, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to UCAN Nonprofit Pet Care Clinic, 2830 Colerain Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45225.
