Funeral services for Barbara Ann Moore Lee, 62, will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath. Officiating the service will be Brother Bill Kinkade and Joy “C.J.” Thomas.
Barbara was born on August 28, 1960 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Henry Newton and Marjorie Barnes Moore and passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 in her home surrounded by her family.
Barbara was a resident of Shreveport. She graduated from Southwood High School in 1978. Barbara worked as a paralegal for 40 years. Her hobbies included gardening and sewing. She had a unique personality that never met a stranger. She loved and respected everyone. One of her favorite roles was being “Nana” to her grandchildren. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be terribly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of getting to know her.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her beautiful memories are her husband of 44 years, Gary Scott Lee; sons, Christopher Scott Lee and wife, Heather, Michael George Lee, and Rickey Lee; daughter, Kimberly Ann Lee; sister, Joy Carolyn “C.J.” Moore Thomas; grandchildren, Dylan Lee, Seth Lee, Brooke Lee, Emily White, and Carrigan Lee; extended family and many wonderful friends.
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the Shreveport EMT and Shreveport Police.
Memorials may be made in honor of Barbara Ann Moore Lee to Baptist Tabernacle or the charity of their choice.
