Mrs. Sunsearay Boyd Jimmerson

Hawthorn Funeral Home announces the passing of Sunsearay "Sunny" Denise Boyd Jimmerson. Sunny was born June 11, 1967, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She passed this life September 7, 2025, in Longview, Texas. Sunny was one of three children born to the marriage of Cherry Stephens and James "Jimmy" Darin Boyd. She was raised and schooled in Shreveport, Louisiana graduating with the Southwood High School Cowboy Class of 1985. Sunny spent her career in Banking and finance for over 20 years before she retired. She married her love, Billy Frank Jimmerson May 20, 2000, and they celebrated 25 years of marriage. Sunsearay loved the outdoors and with her green thumb she raised a house full of plants. She is preceded in death by her mother, Cherry Boyd. Mrs. Jimmerson is survived by her father, Jimmy Boyd of Carthage; devoted husband, Billy Jimmerson of Gary and her stepson Billy Brent Jimmerson and his wife Victoria of Whitehouse; granddaughter, Kira Renee Jimmerson of Whitehouse; brothers Russell DeWayne Boyd of Carthage, James Darin Boyd of Shreveport; niece, Brynn Leigh Boyd of Shreveport; other relatives and a host of friends.
