Barbara J. Lefebre, a beacon of kindness and warmth, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2024, in Florida at 83 years old. Born on June 23, 1941, in Queens, NY to her parents Wilbur and Sophia. Barbara was a dedicated retail clerk for a department store in Florida, where her caring nature and friendly demeanor touched the lives of countless customers and coworkers alike.
Barbara’s life was beautifully intertwined with love and family. She is survived by her cherished sons, Robert, Edward, and Scot, who carry forward her spirit and values. Barbara is also survived by her loving 18 grand children, 17 great grand children and 4 great great grandchildren. Barbara’s heart was deeply intertwined with the memories of her beloved husband, the Late Edward Lefebre, whose presence she missed dearly. Together, they built a loving home filled with shared joy and laughter.
She was also preceded in death by her devoted parents, the Late Wilbur and the Late Sophia, who instilled in her the virtues of compassion and hard work that she embodied throughout her life. Barbara's gentle soul left an indelible mark on those she met, and her nurturing spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Services honoring Barbara’s remarkable life will be held on August 27, 2024, at Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM. A burial will follow immediately after at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, NY.
As we remember Barbara, let us hold dear the values she championed—kindness and care for others. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were graced by her presence.
