Robert R. LeFebre, 59, of Methuen passed away January 7, 2026, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Methuen and is the son of Kathleen (Schiavone) LeFebre of Lawrence and the late R. Robert LeFebre.
Robert was raised and educated in Lawrence. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School class of 1984, lettering in football, hockey, and baseball. He was inducted into the Lawrence High Athletic Hall of Fame. He also graduated from Miami Dade South Community College and then Florida Southern College where he played baseball and won a National Championship in 1988. Robert was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in 1987 and the New York Yankees in 1988.
He graduated from the Lowell Police Academy in 1999 near the top of his class and became a Lawrence police officer. Robert was a retired detective from the Lawrence Police Department where he worked for twenty-three years. He worked on the Street Narcotics Unit and as a Task Force Officer for DEA and HSI. After his retirement from Lawrence, he worked as a police officer at Harvard University, Boston.
Robert enjoyed golfing, watching and coaching his children's sports, and spending time with his family and friends watching college football and horse racing. He will be sadly missed by so many who knew him.
Besides his mother, Robert is survived by his wife, Lynn B. Carroll; his children, Patrick DiMartino and his wife Vanessa of Salisbury, Kathleen and Michael LeFebre both of Methuen; his brother, Peter LeFebre and his wife Christina of Salem, NH and his grandchildren, Adalynn, John, and Julian DiMartino. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours from 4:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St. Methuen. His funeral service will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
