Barbara Lester age 84, of Twinsburg, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on March 3, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Jesse and Helen Horvath.
Barbara had an extraordinary passion for collecting, whether it was her cherished dolls, unique salt and pepper shakers, or mementos from her travels. Her apple-inspired kitchen, was a true reflection of her home design and love for shopping. Barbara also had an endearing affection for Elvis Presley and could often be found reminiscing about his music. She found joy in the simple things in life, such as watching and feeding the birds and savoring a cold Pepsi, which she fondly referred to as her “brown water.”
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Clyde, and her sister, Isabelle Kavaras.
Barbara’s legacy lives on through her children, Helene (Jeff) Gray, Barbara Halusker, and Deborah Lukco, as well as her grandchildren, Nicole (Dan) Hirt, Ryan Roark, Melanie Gray, Jennifer (Graham) Ketcham, Jocelyn (Quenton) Coe, Bryan Halusker, Julia Halusker (Tim Stroh), Angie Lukco, and Heather (Keith) Lackey. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, and another on the way. Surviving her are her sister and best friend, Marge Brewer, and her brother, George Horvath.
In honoring Barbara’s wishes, she will be cremated, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. The family invites all who knew her to remember the joy and love she shared. Arrangements are entrusted to the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home, Streetsboro Chapel.
