Fern L. Lester

Fern Lester, born Fern Lorraine Lawson, entered this world on April 5, 1930, and peacefully passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 95.

Fern was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Lester, with whom she shared many cherished years of marriage, and her son, Dan Glover.

Fern lived a long and meaningful life. She witnessed nearly a century of change and growth, serving as a steady foundation and guiding presence for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Fern had a deep love for travel and embraced every opportunity to see new places and experience new adventures. Whether near or far, she enjoyed the journey as much as the destination. She also greatly valued her independence. Strong-willed and capable, Fern took pride in caring for herself and living life on her own terms for as long as she was able - a quality her family admired and respected.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Jeannette), Donna (Dave), Jeff (Barbara), Roberta, and Warren and his partner Janet, grandchildren Doug, Ginger, Brandy, Jeff Jr., Jennifer, Chrystal, Katie, Stephanie and Jasmin, great grandchildren, Madison, Marcus, Brayden, Henric, Harper, Frankie, Cullen and Derrick, and great grandson Bowen.

Visitation for Fern will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 10 until 1 p.m. with at service at 1 p.m. at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes and Crematory, 24021 royal Worlington Dr., Naperville, IL. Burial will follow at Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Darien, IL.
