Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Lightsey will begin at 2:30PM, Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Rickles officiating. Burial will be held at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery following the funeral services. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mrs. Lightsey, age 82, of Kewanee, passed away Sunday, September 08, 2024, at her residence. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Barbara had a love for crafting. You could always find her painting, making quilts, partaking in ceramics, and even spending time outdoors, gardening in her flowers. Barbara had a big heart and loved spending time with her friends and family. The Lightsey family would like to thank all Mrs. Barbara's neighbors and close friends for always checking on her and being there when she needed them the most.
Barbara Lightsey is survived by her two sons, Phillip Lightsey (Russina) and Alan Lightsey (Terri); three grandchildren, Dylan Lightsey, Alaina Lightsey, and Hunter Decamp, and two brothers, Roy Harrison and Billy Harrison, as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
Mrs. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lightsey; parents, Johnny and Janie Harrison; two sisters, Wanda Morrison and Jean Dickinson, and special aunt, Emma Holcomb.
Pallbearers will be Roy Harrison, Dylan Lightsey, Gerald Thompson, Billy Parker, and Darrion Goudy.
The Lightsey family will receive guest from 1:30PM until 2:15 PM prior to services on Sunday at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
