Born on August 25, 1950, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the daughter of James and Elnora Miller, Barb graduated from Lincoln High School in Sioux Falls. She raised her children in Moville and later moved to Sioux City where she met and married her husband, Richard Limoges in April 21, 2006.
Her career showcased her diverse talents and dedication; she worked in various capacities for a call center, John Morrell, and Gateway Computers. However, it was the over twenty years spent alongside her husband, Richard, at their shop, Dick's Bait and Tackle, that remained her fondest role. There, Barbara not only shared her love for fishing but also built deep connections with customers and friends who appreciated her welcoming spirit.
Barbara's life was adorned with many hobbies and interests. She found joy in fishing and gardening, relished cooking, and expressed her creativity through painting. Those who knew her best will remember her love for snuggling her dogs, listening to country music, and she cherished family gatherings and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Limoges of Sioux City. Her legacy continues through her children—Nick Miller of Sioux City, Laurie Miller of Atlantic, IA, Charity (Alan) Smith of Sioux City, Mike (Marquita) Limoges of Westfield, IA, and David (Claudia) Limoges of Le Mars, IA, and her four beloved chihuahuas; Speedy, Maggie, Hazel, and Snickers—as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barbara is also survived by her sister-in-law, Dee Miller.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Richard "Dick" Miller, and Robert "Bob" Miller, her mother-in-law Betty Limoges, and sister-in-law Pam Uden.
