Barbara Marie Linsley, 86 of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, peacefully at home comforted by family and hospice. A private service will be held at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel following the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Barbara was born on August 4, 1939, in Sioux City, Iowa to Lenord and Stella (Schreiber) Van Rooyan. She married Gerald Linsley on March 22, 1976, in Sioux City, Iowa. Barbara worked at various jobs during her lifetime but found her greatest joy in being a homemaker. She was an avid book reader and loved her pets.
Barbara is survived by her husband Gerald; daughter Kerri (Jim) Toben, son Todd (Chris) Hostetler, daughter Karen (Pat) Kuehl, and son Scott (Melissa) Hostetler; 6 grandchildren Nicholas, Justin, Jordan, Skyler, Hunter, and Kalie; seven great-grandchildren (and one on the way!); and brother Larry (Becky) Van Rooyan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law Robert (Wanda) Van Rooyan, and nephew Mitchell Van Rooyan.
