Barbara Ann McDonald Litton, 83 of Rockingham passed away at her home on January 12, 2026. She was born January 13, 1942 to the late Colon McDonald and “Jence” Belk McDonald in Richmond County.
Following High School, Barbara Ann spent 3 years and 7 months in the United States Army. She and her husband owned and operated Riverbridge Lounge for many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband William “Bill” Litton, granddaughter Lia Crawford Son-in-law Doug Roberts and brother Ronald McDonald.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters Sherry Roberts, Tammy Birky (Mike) and Rhonda Litton. Grandchildren, Daniel Sewell (Melanie), Cameron Sewell (Angel), Morgan Birky, 2LT. Joshua Birky, Troy Bailey, Jr. “TJ” and Matthew Crawford. Great Grandchildren, Simon, Cody, Autumn, Gabriella, Kaiden, Lillian and Phillip. Sister Shelbie Landaker (Greg).
A visitation will be held on Sunday January 18, 2026 at Carter Funeral Home, Rockingham from 1:45 – 2:45pm. Funeral services will follow at 3pm with Rev. Phil Joines officiating. Burial will follow at Northam Cemetery.
