Barbara graduated from Sterling High School with the class of 1962. She held a variety of jobs over the years including 7 years at PSO and 12 years as the elected Clerk Treasurer for the City of Sterling. She and Roy spent many hours driving all over the country with their hot shot business.

Barbara was always involved in the community. She was a volunteer with the Sterling Fire Department for 16 years. She was a member of the Ladies Town and Country Club since 1998 and served as president for several years. Barbara was also an active member of the Ladies United Methodist Women.

Barbara was well-known for her cooking and baking skills. In addition, she was the "go-to-seamstress" for her entire family! She was a leader and a problem-solver. Barbara loved life and having a good time. She particularly cherished the times spent with their dancing buddies and card shark friends! Most importantly, Barbara was a dedicated Christian. She had a gift of making everyone around her feel welcomed and loved.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 33 years, Roy Lott of the home; son Randy Farris and wife Lori; stepdaughters Jenny Farrar and Nancy Lott; brother Roy Vern Simpson and wife Barbara Kay; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law Twila and Junior Nunley; brother Keith Simpson; brother and sister-in-law Vic and Janice Simpson; and grandson Roy Alan Mayes.
