Barb Luehmann-Gutzmann, 65 of Stillwater and formerly of Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
Barb was born June 29, 1958 in Rochester to Robert and Beverly (Blakeslee) Luehmann. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1976. She then attended Winona State and the University of Minnesota, graduating with degrees in Home Economics and Communication. She spent her career in Dairy Marketing for Midwest Dairies. Barb served on the board and as the board president for the Major Alumni Board of Directors representing the School of Home Economics.
On September 28, 1996, she married Randy Gutzmann. They enjoyed their life together and their home on the lake where Barb loved to feed the birds and wildlife. She also enjoyed walking, her cats, dancing and her flowers. In her younger years, she also was active in 4H and enjoyed showing Dairy Cattle.
Barb’s Christian upbringing and her faith were an important part of her life and she was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Silo.
She is survived by her husband, Randy; mother, Beverly Luehmann; siblings, Becky (Marvin) Kreidermacher, Brenda (Joel) Groskreutz, Blake (Jenifer) Luehmann and Beth (Jim) Postier; and by Randy’s family whom she loved dearly, Rachel Hildebrand, Susan and Bob Anderson and Miriam Gutzmann. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews whom she adored.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Luehmann; and Randy’s parents, Wayne and Ruth Gutzman.
Memorial Service will be 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Silo with the Reverend Bert Mueller officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m., until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or your local Humane Society.
