Tasha Kay Luehmann, age 51, of Winona went to her heavenly home on December 5, 2023. She was born on July 24, 1972 to Gary and Donna (Windmeyer) Luehmann at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1993. Following graduation, she moved into a Home and Community Options residence in Winona. She made many friends at the Winona County DAC, from which she recently retired after 30 years of service.

Tasha had many favorite people, but number one was her dad. “My dad!” she would proudly say to people. She loved spending time with him, whether that meant riding with him on the snowmobile or in the chopper, or helping him feed the “baby sows”. Other favorites were teachers, aides, bus drivers, and her “baby” nieces and nephews. It never mattered whether the nieces and nephews were six months or 24 years old; they were all “baby” to her.

As a child Tasha loved spending time with her Grandma Luehmann and attending Camp Winnebago. In her later years, she enjoyed cutting up magazines, as well as watching “Annie” and ”I Love Lucy.”

She knew Jesus as her Savior, and loved attending church and taking communion. With her big heart and bubbly personality, she made many friends; it seemed that wherever she’d go with her parents there was always someone who knew her!

She is survived by her mother, Donna; seven siblings, Doug (Kim) Luehmann, Kristin (Ken) Schrimpf, Paul (Katie) Luehmann, Justin (Amanda) Luehmann, Holly (Scott) Kohlwey, Josh Luehmann, and Bryce (Samantha) Luehmann; 25 nieces and nephews, Jake (Lisa), Eric (special friend Sara), Merribeth (Cameron), Ross (Mikayla), Jeremy (Sarah), Michaela (Wyatt), Brett, Mitchell (Alisa), Laurel, Jackson, Peyton, Olivia, Abigail, Gloria, Julia, Charlotte, Zachariah, Malachi, Gracelynn, Johanna, Natalie, Ava, Matthew, Lincoln, and Griffin; thirteen great-nieces and nephews, Miles, Cal, Leighton, Bria, Breck, Lacey, Hallie, Annie, William, Livia, Eleanor, June, and Lyla. She is also survived by aunts, Sandy (Dan) Pritzl, Jan Luehmann, Sandra Wade and Maxine (Leroy) McCarthy; great aunt, Pat Luehmann; special friend, Jamie; and numerous cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Gary; grandparents, Norma and Norman Luehmann, Christina and Alfred Windmeyer; and uncles Neal Windmeyer, Glen Luehmann, and Lee Wade.

Pallbearers will be her five brothers, Doug, Paul, Justin, Josh, and Bryce, and her two brothers-in-law, Ken and Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be the past and present HCO and DAC staff.

The family would like to thank HCO house staff and the Winona Area Hospice for becoming like family to Tasha in their loving care for her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Winona County DAC, Home and Community Options, and St. John’s Lutheran Church of Lewiston.
