Barbara Madden

On December 28, 2024, Barbara Mary Madden (nee Green), age 87, passed away peacefully at home. Born in Philadelphia on January 30, 1937, Barbara had been a resident of Haddon Township and parishioner of Holy Saviour Church for over 60 years. Barbara was a 1955 graduate of Camden Catholic High School where she was the captain of the girls basketball team as well as the best senior athlete for her graduating class. She was also the lead flautist in the school's orchestra.
Barbara is the beloved wife of 66 years to Thomas M. Madden, Jr. She was predeceased by her two sons, Thomas M. Madden, III (Suzanne) and James P. Madden. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Karen (Stephen) Flacco; her sons, Kevin M. (Kay), Daniel J. (Kelly), Jerome P. (Jill) and Brian V. as well as her brother, Frederick Green and her sister, Patricia Bentz. Barbara's legacy will continue on for many generations as she is also lovingly survived by 54 grandchildren, 27 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday evening, January 2nd from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at the Healey Funeral Home, 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, NJ. There will also be a visitation on Friday morning, January 3rd at 10:00 AM at Holy Saviour Catholic Church, 50 Emerald Avenue, Westmont, NJ followed by her Funeral Mass which will be celebrated beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment private.
