Barbara Ann Malek

Barbara (Bonnie) Malek (1941-2026) Barbara Ann Malek, 84, of Warren, MI passed away peacefully on January 18th, 2026. Leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, faith and service to others. Bonnie was born to the late Stanislaus and Helen Malek. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Richard Sparazynski, her brother, Thomas, her sister, Susan, and her only daughter, Katie Cardinali, whom she loved deeply. Bonnie's greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth (Christine) Malek, her grandchildren: Anthony (Kelsey) Cardinali, Andrea Cardinali, many nieces and nephews, and her great grand-daughter, Aria Cardinali. Bonnie was guided throughout her life by faith, which, alongside her commitment to sobriety, shaped her compassion, humility, and strength. She was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous and celebrated over 30 years of continuous sobriety. Her dedication to recovery extended beyond herself- she helped countless others find hope, healing, and stability through the program. Bonnie will be remembered for her enduring faith, resilience, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her legacy lives on through the lives she has touched, the people she's helped, and the generations who carry her memory forward.
