Carol Ann Malek

Carol Ann Malek, 65, of Dodgeville, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Carol was born in Berwyn, Illinois at Women and Children's Hospital on May 27, 1959. She graduated from Lake Park High School in Medinah, Illinois in 1977. After graduation, she went to work for Apple Vacations.
Carol moved to Dodgeville, Wisconsin in 2012, where she lived in her parents' home, living closer to family. Carol worked at the Dodgeville Walmart in the bakery department and then New Horizons gas station, where she was a manager. Carol enjoyed working in the small community where her folks had lived and enjoyed their retirement. Carol and her family had camped at Governor Dodge in her youth, so the setting was familiar and filled with good memories.
Recently, Carol found a community of friends within Stampin' Up! where she was able to express her craftiness and creativity though paper crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Arlene Malek.
Carol is survived by her brother, Mark (Sidnee) Malek; three nieces: Melissa (Clint) Hohneke, Heather (Shane) Kramer, and Rebekah (Joe) Schmotter; seven great-nieces and -nephews; and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Iowa County Humane Society, PO Box 195, Dodgeville, WI 53533, are greatly appreciated.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, JUNE 8, 2024, at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home, 126 Diagonal St, Dodgeville, WI.
