BARBARA ANN McBRIDE
Barbara McBride, 81, Centralia, MO passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the Pin Oaks Living Center in Mexico, MO. She was born November 23, 1943, in Amarillo, TX, the daughter of the late Loyd and Wilhelmina (Cleek) Owens. On June 5, 1998, she was united in marriage to Bobby Dale McBride.
In addition to her husband Bobby Dale of 27 years, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons John Schneider and his wife Rebecca “Becky” of California, MO and Michael Schneider and his wife Lisa of St. Charles, MO; a step son Larry Dale McBride and his wife Patty of Centralia, MO; two step daughters Cheryl Bradley and her husband Mark of Florence, KY and Susan Miller and her husband Bret of Moberly, MO; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a daughter in law Karla McBride of Centralia, MO; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, a stepson John McBride and one brother Richard Owens preceded her in death.
Barbara worked as a secretary for the California R-1 School District for many years. She was a member of the American Angus Association, Eastern Star, Missouri Teachers Association and the Tulip Christian Church. She served as the secretary of the Missouri Angus Association for over 14 years and toured 13 of the 18 American Angus State Tours. She enjoyed angus cattle, making ceramics and spending time with all of her family.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Interment will be in the Centralia City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Junior Angus Foundation Scholarship Fund, c/o Oliver Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Centralia, MO 65240.
