Barbara Lee McGuire

Barbara Lee McGuire entered eternal rest on November 4, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on February 25, 1931, in Sandy River, Arizona, Barbara's life was one of faith, devotion, and love for family and all of God's creatures.

Over the years, Barbara made her home in Arizona, New Mexico, California, and Oregon. Each place touched by her warmth and generosity. She spent many happy years in Farmington and Quemado, New Mexico, and later in Roseburg, Oregon. After marrying the love of her life, Jerry McGuire, she moved to San Diego, California, where they raised their family before eventually returning to Oregon. Barbara and Jerry shared a beautiful marriage until his passing, and she remained deeply devoted to his memory.

Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children Jerry McGuire (Laurette) and Susan Thompson (Terry); grandchildren Mike McGuire (Danielle), Isaiah McGuire, Michael Thompson (Kristin), and Matthew Thompson; and great-grandchildren Anakin and Damien McGuire, and Maple Thompson.

A woman of quiet strength and deep faith, Barbara was active in her church and found joy in serving others. She loved to knit and crochet, often gifting handmade treasures that reflected her care and patience. Barbara had a special heart for animals, especially those that were unwanted, abandoned, or in need of love, and was especially fond of her pet iguana, Iggy.

Those who knew Barbara will remember her for her kind spirit, her gentle humor, and the love she poured into every life she touched. Her legacy of faith, compassion, and devotion to family will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
