Barbara McIntire passed away peacefully at her home in Stockton on February 24, 2026. Born in Denison, Texas, on July 5, 1942, to James J. Neeld and Lena D. Brown, Barbara was one of five siblings. At the age of two, her family moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma, where she grew up and later graduated from

Chickasha High School in 1960.

Family and Early Life

In 1962, Barbara entered into a marriage that blessed her with four children: Cathy, James, Steven, and Karen. After spending a few years in Wyoming, the family settled in Kansas City, Missouri.

Professional Career

A woman of strong work ethic and determination, Barbara began a career at K.C.I. Airport in the 1970s. Starting as a beverage counselor, her talent for leadership was quickly recognized; she earned promotions to Assistant General Manager and ultimately served as a Restaurant Manager within the airport.

A New Chapter

In 1977, Barbara married Ronnie McIntire. Together, they built a life across Missouri, living in Kansas City, Holt, and Kearney, before finally making their home in Stockton. Their union brought the birth of their daughter, Heather.

Her Lasting Legacy

Honorary Family: Son Kelly and daughters Audrey and Christine.

The Next Generations: A vast legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
