Barbara Michaud, 70, of Southington, passed away at her home after a brief illness on Friday, May 9, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Wallace and Annette (Cormier) Michaud, formerly of New Britain.
Barbara graduated from Pulaski High School in New Britain, Class of 1974 and moved to Southington in 1979.
She graduated from the Connecticut State Police Academy in Meriden and was employed by the State of Connecticut as an Investigator for the Department of Special Revenue, retiring after 28 years of service. After her retirement, Barbara moved to Ormond Beach, Florida.
She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, working around the yard and going to the beach. She also liked shopping at TJ Maxx and Marshalls, always looking for the best deals.
Barbara is survived by her son, Nicholas Triano of Southington, brother, Ken Michaud of FL, niece, Kristin Michaud, nephew, Michael Michaud, her very close cousin, Cheryl Aldieri, and a large number of aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her brother, Gary Michaud formerly of New Britain.
A memorial service will be celebrated at 12 noon on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
