Passed away peacefully on April 20, 2024 at the age of 87.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, C.J. Mickelson.
Survived by daughters, Mary (Don) Curtis, Pat (Tim) French, Jackie Austin, Nancy (Jim) Frazer; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Adrienne Klingl, brother-in-law, Dennis (Sandy) Mickelson, sister-in-law, Delores (Denis) Madden; other family and friends.
Barb graduated from St. Margaret’s Academy in 1954. She married her high school sweetheart, C.J., and together, they raised their family in Fridley. She achieved her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse at Anoka Ramsey in 1980. She worked as an Industrial Health Nurse at Barry Blower in Fridley. They later moved to Big Lake, where they enjoyed living on Lake Mitchell for many years before moving to Blaine in their final years.
Barb was the consummate hostess and enjoyed cooking for and entertaining her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing bridge, working crossword puzzles, traveling, and volunteering at church. She will be remembered dearly as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Saturday, April 27 with visitation one hour prior at St. Joseph of the Lakes Catholic Church, 171 Elm St. Lino Lakes.
Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
