Barbara Miller Obituary

Barbara Ann Miller

Barbara Ann Miller (born Barbara Ann Terry), a beloved mother, aunt, and friend, died on Dec. 13, 2025 at the age of 91 at Maple Shade Meadows, Nesquehoning, where she had been a resident for almost two years.

Barbara was born Nov. 16, 1934, as the youngest of 11 children to Anna and Thomas Terry Sr. of West Abbott Street, Lansford.

Barbara had been a member of St. Michael's Slovak Catholic Church, Lansford, and in her final years, was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Summit Hill.

Barbara will be remembered as a woman of faith who made family a priority and extended her kindness and generosity to many.

She held several jobs throughout her lifetime, including work at the Kiddie Kloes factory in Lansford and Mitchell's Furniture Gallery in Tamaqua.

Barbara married Irvin Miller (deceased) of Summit Hill, who served in the U.S. Navy. In their younger years, Barbara and Irvin loved to dance and were quite skilled at "cutting a rug."

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Diane Reeser of Arlington, VA, as well as several nieces and nephews.

On behalf of her mom, Diane would like to extend her immense gratitude to those who devoted themselves to the physical, emotional and spiritual care of Barbara in her final years: the staff of Maple Shade Meadows of Nesquehoning, St. Luke's Hospice Team, and the priests, deacons and "Pen to Paper Ministry" of St. Joseph's Church.

At the request of the deceased, a private funeral was held on Dec. 30, 2025, at St. Joseph's Church in Summit Hill, followed by the interment in St. Michael's Cemetery, Summit Hill. Funeral arrangements had been placed in the care of the Parambo Funeral Home of Summit Hill. Online condolences may be shared at www.parambofh.com.
