Funeral services for Barbara Ann Kring Mitchell, 88, of Frankfort, will be held Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Baptist Church with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the church Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and 10-11 a.m. on Friday. Barbara passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Barbara was the daughter of Harmon and O'delle Johnson Kring. She was a longtime member of Evergreen Baptist Church and provided decades of service as a pianist, organist, secretary, and anywhere there was a need. She attended Bridgeport School where she met the love of her life, Blake, whom she was married to for almost 67 years. Barbara was a stay-at-home mom while her sons were in grade school then began her career in state government. After several years of service, she moved to Community Cable, later known as Frankfort Plant Board's Cable division, where she retired with over twenty years of dedicated service. Barbara was the most loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a devout Christian, loved her family fiercely, and was famous for her chocolate chip cookies. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Blake Mitchell. Survivors include sons Dale (Kim) and Darrell Mitchell, of Frankfort; grandchildren: Niki (Isaiah) Sizemore, Jacob (DeAnne) Mitchell, Erin Mitchell, Eric (Mallory) Mulder, Ryan (Avery) Mulder; and great-grandchildren: Grace, Emery, Easton, Blake, Hadley, and Isabelle. Pallbearers will be Jacob Mitchell, Isaiah Sizemore, Kevin Cardwell, Jimmy Miracle, Jimmy Word, and Terry Donald. Memorial contributions may be made to Evergreen Baptist Church/Mary's Kids or the Music Department.
