Barbara Moore Storey of Fairfield, Texas Was born in Elkhart, Texas on March 23, 1935. She passed from this life on December 24 at the age of 90 in Fairfield. Her parents were Alvy Pharris and Myrtie Lambright Pharris. Her first husband was Roy Lee Moore, and after his death, she married Billie Storey whom she also survived.

When Roy Moore Worked as a building contractor, she was his bookkeeper for many years. Barbara's career also consisted of working as a sales lady in women's clothing stores in the 1970s to 1990. In 1991 she owned and operated the Merle Norman Cosmetic store in Fairfield for ten years. Later, she worked at Griffin - Roughton as a receptionist in Fairfield.

Barbara was a sincere Christian who taught Sunday school for at least sixty years. Her students ranged from young children to adults. She taught in most of the churches where her first husband served as pastor.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, by her brothers Robert Pharris and Nolan Pharris, by her husbands, by daughter-in-law Darla Moore, and a grandson, Philip Heflin Moore.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Linda Lott and husband Jimmy Lott, and her son Elton Moore. Her grandchildren are Matthew Shaver and his wife Linnie, Suzanne Canon and her husband Michael, and Ainsley Sulser and her husband Tyler. Barbara's great-grandchildren are Cameron Shaver, Avery Shaver, Kirstan Canon, and Dalton Canon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a member of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church in Fairfield. Her pastor, Justin Colquette, will conduct the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Michael Canon, Dalton Canon, Matthew Shaver, Ronnie Moore, David Moore, and Tyler Sulser.

The family would like to thank the employees of Fairview Healthcare Residence Fairfield and the hospice, Reliant at Home, for the great care they gave Barbara during her final years.

Visitation is Sunday, December 28th, from 1:00 to 2:00pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 3:00pm at Pilgrim Cemetery in Elkhart, Texas.
